Partial Solar Eclipse at 19 LEO – August 11 2018; The Sabian Symbol for the degree of this last summer eclipse is:

“PHASE 139 (LEO 19°): A HOUSEBOAT PARTY.   KEYNOTE: The enjoyment of temporary freedom from rigidly structured social behavior.   “

And this is where I ended up last night. A roadside is not a river and the house did not float…but the energy is similar. According to Feng Shuai experts, roads generate a flow akin to that of a river!

19 LEO “Houseboat Party”

So…I found myself in a Sabian Symbol scene once again. I have no idea why symbols are turning out quite literal for me these days – I guess my ‘higher self’ has quit trying to get me to read between the lines and in frustration opted to simplify it for me (I am slow). And so…here we are inside the book once again! A ‘Houseboat’ party.

The houseboat may be anchored, yet it floats on the river which — symbolically at least — extends far beyond the narrow social setup. What is suggested is that in such a gathering, men and women seek to at least get the feeling of the free flow of energies, as an escape from the routine activities of their business or student lives. “

This eclipse has an odd feel to it. We are already undergoing a lot of inner and outer transformation given the sequence of summer eclipses as well as the intense undercurrents of Mars-Uranus square series. There is a lot of pressure and today we feel it beginning to diffuse. We may have reached a point of just giving up on trying to ‘keep it all together’ and are actively looking for ways to release tension generated in the first half of the year. Leo energy also seeks to find joy, pleasure and enhances creative urges. Here we see all of the above. The manifestation is a wonderful chill-out setting where a few people joined creative forces to make something visually appealing and conductive to enjoyment.

“So the theme of this Eclipse turns on the Light of some sort of enjoyable freeing of ourselves in society or fellowship, where we can get a more natural sense of self-expression and make a greater contribution to our social life or the greater life of the society we’re in. This is the light of releasing energy in a way that opens us to a greater social freedom, showing us how to participate more wholeheartedly in making some worthwhile contribution through creative action.” (by Robert Wilkinson – the full article can be found here and is in 3 parts: Aquarius Papers).

Energy that astrology maps out manifests in big and small ways. And often something seemingly very small has far reaching implications for us on several levels. Parts of us get sparked or illuminated and then we can break through some previous blocks and overcome old challenges. Hopefully while not creating new blocks and challenges…well, this is where hindsight, experience and maturity come in handy sometimes!

In any case, the scene I found myself before last night reflects the current astro-weather perfectly.

We are not out of the woods yet in terms of major challenges and transformations, but the New Moon eclipse asks us to reboot, re-connect and lighten up. Perhaps not only as a means of recharging our batteries for the upcoming new season, but also for the sake of living our lives more wholeheartedly as a rule as opposed to an exception!

As a dear friend of mine, a LEO herself, said in one of her recent blog posts (pay attention to Leos in your life – they bring messages these days):

“You can celebrate every day for no particular reason. Just because you want to!”

Take a break. Breathe out the old, breathe in the new and just keep on moving.

Enjoy the journey.
