Venus-Mars conjunctions in Aquarius – frequency, degrees and the motion of Venus

A data review of 3000 years between 500BC and 2500 AD has shown that Venus-Mars will have been conjunct in Aquarius 158 times. That is 6.5% of all Venus-Mars conjunctions (2431) in this time-span. A summary of the report this data is drawn from is linked at the end of this article.

Based on data between 500 BC and 2500 AD Venus and Mars are seen to conjunct anywhere between 2 and 9 times per each degree of Aquarius. On average they join in this sign 5 times per each degree set.

The most active degrees (within the 3000-year span under study) are 1-2 and 27-28, while degree 12-13 has seen only 2 conjunctions in total.

Venus Retrograde conjunct Mars

“Between 500AD and 2500BC we will have had 382 conjunctions with Venus RX – that is around 16% of all their conjunctions in this timeframe.”

33 or 9% of those conjunctions are in Aquarius.

The most recent Venus RX conjunct Mars in Aquarius was on January 9th 1966 and before that January 24th 1934.  The next one isn’t until Feb 21st 2137.

Venus (at station) conjunct Mars

Venus ST conjunct Mars in Aquarius two times in the time span between 500 BC and 2500 AD: in 90BC and in 1125 AD. We are not due for another one within the study timeframe.

From our report (summary here) on Venus-Mars conjunctions over a course of 3000 years:

“Between 500BC and 2500AD only 14 conjunctions will have occurred at Venus station.

  • The next time this happens will be Nov 11, 2034 with Venus stationary at 20 LIB 27
  • The last time this occurred is Feb 3 1755 at 16 CAP 27

The most conjunctions that occurred during a Venus station happened in Capricorn (3/14) and 2 each in Taurus, Libra and Aquarius

This means that a third of signs (total of 4 Venus and Saturn ruled signs) receive 64.3% of all conjunctions during Venus station (during the period under study)”.

Saturn-ruled Venus-Mars conjunctions 2022-2029

Following their conjunction in Capricorn on February 16th, Venus and Mars enter Aquarius in unison, after which they perfect a fresh conjunction there by March 6th 2022. At that time, the Moon will be in Taurus about to conjunct Uranus, the modern ruler of Aquarius.

2 years later, in March 2024 we welcome a second consecutive conjunction in Aquarius within this cycle.
