Uranus first knocked on our Taurean door back in mid-May 2018. That was a nice little preview. It is always good to receive some warning, although Uranian shifts are always a wild-card. Nonetheless, by now many of us should have some idea of what we are supposed to be doing or what we can expect to be up for re-modelling in our lives.
I am perhaps not the right person to give advice on this one: I have been fumbling for solid ground ever since that initial visit, as the aftershocks rippled relentlessly, demolishing much of what I thought I knew about what I have, what I need and what I feel. For the past 10 months (I AM slow 🙂 ) I mean…it seemed like a minor hiccup – but turned out monumental. It necessitated a complete overhaul of my ‘modus operandi’ in several areas of my life, leaving me rather indignant. I still sometimes catch myself protesting: “…but….I was FINE!” (nope…)
Further, I would be lying if I said I didn’t feel apprehensive about this, now definitive shift, seeing how I am still off balance here myself. But here we are and there it goes, regardless of how we feel about it all.
Uranus is relentless and abrupt. He has to be: his ‘job’ is to challenge points of highest resistance. And those typically carry a lot of weight in our lives. That resistance is our means of anchoring ourselves within a framework that we feel ‘works’ for us. And perhaps it did really ‘work’ for us in the past, but Uranus speaks of a different way to do and to be – a need for progress. And here it gets uncomfortable when you try to resist or follow old scripts: it just won’t work. You must either forget or re-invent whatever Uranus demolishes.
So in a nutshell, there is a part in each one of us that stubbornly refuses to budge, a part that we try to keep under wraps and where we are perhaps a little narrow-minded. Uranus will challenge our inflexibility and parts of us that we are out of touch with; Parts we overfeed or underfeed; How we use or not use our senses, voice, values and valuables…Whatever our weak Taurean spot is will be revealed. It can get uncomfortable but the ultimate purpose is definitive and lasting change.
Grounding fire into Earth can give a bit of a shake as it comes in, but know that whatever gets knocked down is where new crops sprout. Also, it may help to think of Uranus as the ultimate hiccup cure: a swift blow and hiccups disappear…leaving you in a daze but hey…whatever works right!? 🙂
Be mindful, connect to and ground yourself in your body and senses and prepare to exercise some flexibility.
Wishing everyone an easy transition to this new level. Happy Uranus in Taurus 7 year chapter everyone!
