Uranus ‘acts’ from space beyond our consciousness. When triggered, this energy just swoops in from a blind-spot and changes everything. It is not a considerate or easy energy. It can’t be planned for other than ensuring you always leave some room in your plans for the unexpected and practice flexibility (and some caution). The good news, in a way, is that changes effected under Uranus are speedy and definitive. In that sense, after personal impact (contact with one of our natal planets, angles or sensitive points) we tend to spend the rest of the time he transits that sign (a cycle which lasts about 7 years) re-building whatever was demolished – and usually rebuilding it far better than the previous structure. This refers to our inner constructs as well as our external experiences and reality.
Uranus sometimes leaves collateral damage in its path and it can be devastating. But this is not always the case. One of the gifts of Uranus is renewal, progress and a jolt back into living in the moment.
Aligning with Uranus can be initiated by assisting those on the fringes of society, those alienated or oppressed, demolition of old structures and systems to make space for new, being more spontaneous, striving to innovate in small and big ways. Uranus also rules astrology and I have noticed somewhat easier time processing the energy since I started studying and applying astrology. Being aware of cycles and the processes and being compassionate with self and others has reduced resistance to and fear of change, ever so slightly. Small adjustments on our part can lead to big breakthroughs however so do not be afraid to start small.
You have some time to re-adjust after September 18th impact with Mars. Explore Uranus as he retreats back to Aries and welcome him back into Taurus feeling more ‘prepared’ for or more accepting of the unexpected.
